Howfen Connect Hits Over 100 Local Businesses

Howfen Connect has reached a major milestone: there are now 100 local businesses listed on the directory.

We started Howfen Connect with one simple goal: to make it easier for people to find and support the businesses right on their doorstep. Seeing the directory grow to 100 listings has been brilliant, and we want to say a big thank you to every business that has joined us and everyone who has used the site along the way.

More than just Westhoughton

Westhoughton is still at the heart of the directory, but Howfen Connect now covers 11 areas: Westhoughton, Horwich, Atherton, Over Hulton, Lostock, Hunger Hill, Hindley, Hart Common, Aspull, Hindley Green and Blackrod.

Businesses are listed across 51 categories, from tradespeople and personal trainers to cafés, salons and independent shops. Whatever you need, there's a good chance someone local can help.

The numbers so far

• 100 local businesses
• 11 areas covered
• 51 categories
• Over 10,000 views every week
• Over 100,000 views in total

Visitor numbers are rising month on month, and more people than ever are turning to Howfen Connect when they need a local business.

Real results for local businesses

The best part is hearing from the businesses themselves. Quite a few have told us they've seen an increase in customers and enquiries since joining Howfen Connect. That's exactly why we set the directory up, and it's great to see it making a real difference.

Every listing is added and checked by us, so the directory stays genuine local businesses only.

Want to be part of the next 100?

If you run a business in any of our 11 areas, now is the perfect time to get listed. With over 10,000 visits every week, your business will be in front of the local people most likely to use it. And if you're based in Blackrod or Hindley Green, you could be the first business listed in your area.
