Encore Dance and Theatre School

With a history spanning over 35 years, this well-established dance school has been a part of the local community for generations. Recently rebranded under new ownership, the school continues its strong legacy following the transition from the former Wendy Heywood School of Dance, with the name change made on the advice of the previous owner.

Classes are held every Saturday for children aged 3 and above, offering a welcoming and supportive environment to learn and develop in ballet and tap. As students progress, they can also take part in additional styles including freestyle and musical theatre, helping to build confidence, creativity and performance skills.

Alongside children’s classes, the school also offers a ladies tap class on Tuesday evenings from 7pm to 8pm, providing a fun and friendly space for adults to get involved, stay active and enjoy dance.

With decades of history behind it and a fresh chapter ahead, the school continues to provide high-quality dance training in a positive and inclusive environment.
